December

We have been so busy this month at Against the Grain and we are very excited about a much deserved break over the holidays! Even though we won't be building for three weeks, the work doesn't stop. We already have a work list started for January and we're excited about the fun pieces and projects in the works for 2013. If you are interested in placing an order, let us know so we can get you on the list for January.

We did a love of revamping furniture this month! So keep us in mind if you find a piece that needs some TLC. With a little love you can bring even the ugliest pieces of furniture back to life!

To get a quote for a furniture revamp - send us an email at againstthegraindesigns@yahoo.com with a picture of the peice and what you are wanting done to it!

This was a beautiful, hand made, solid wood cabinet. It was a little banged up but super sturdy!
We added a new farmhouse style top and repainted and distressed the base in an antique white.

This table had been through some major wear and tear as a craft table.

We refinished the top of the table and bench and added two matching oak chairs. A little paint on the base and it looked brand new!

This is a classic, Queen Ann syle coffee table - we see a lot of these and wanted to switch it up!

So, we turned it into a great bench!

A client brought us this peice. It was rough around the edges and painted a horrible green.

We replaced the laminate countertop with an Ebony stained top, repainted the base a dark grey and replaced the hardware. Looks like a completely different cabinet! The client used it as a TV stand.

This end table needed some love! The top was warpped and stained.

We replaced the top and painted the base a bright turquoise!

We've also added a new items to our Custom Made furniture. This is a storage headboard we built for a client. You can order this as a headboard alone, or like this one as a complete bed. Email us for pricing - againstthegraindesigns@yahoo.com.
